“Dont think, drink” – Iron Man 2
This is a mish mash of a review of Iron Man 2, straight edge and the weird way my mind works in relating things I experience in life back to my ideals. A lookback on my ‘travels’
Now this is my first update from an actual computer, all the earlier posts were written and submitted from my phone using this splendid little Blackberry app for WordPress blogs (you will also find it in AppWorld). Back in Durban.
Well I’m finally back on home soil. Flip. Bummed. Click here to read a really good review of the flight situation in Europe “This is the first time UK airspace has been closed since world war 2″ My luggage didn’t show up, no surprise. I haven’t seen it since I left durban on thursday night! So yes I’ve been wearing the same clothes since then, slept in them, and done dubai in them. All in all though a one in a million experience. I was part of history!
Increased volcano activity, decreased flight activity.
1. Back at the hotel I see reports of increased volcanic activity. 2. Even if flights opened tomorrow, first available seat to europe is 27 april (groezrock is 23 april) 3. I’m not thaaaat keen to spend my holiday and money in Dubai. 4. Snapcase probably won’t be able to come in for any shows either.. So I’m heading to dubai airport in a few hours to see about turning tale and heading home! Cut the losses I think. Emirates may even be refunding these tickets apparently so that would make it a bit easier to stomach. Good night arabia.
